Position Overview:


The role involves the preparation of detailed, precise, and timely estimates for various civil engineering projects, including earthwork, underground utilities, grading, paving, and both flatwork and structural concrete for diverse clients.

Responsibilities include reviewing and finalizing all bid documents and proposals. The individual will oversee the management of assigned projects, ensuring thorough contract reviews, submittals, purchasing, billing, and cost forecasting, while providing support to field personnel and fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive take-offs and estimates.
  • Deliver all necessary information to the Contract Administrator for processing.
  • Prepare and submit all required documentation.
  • Participate in weekly safety meetings at job sites.
  • Manage project costs and forecasts, collaborating with management and site supervisors.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules.
  • Estimate, prepare, and oversee change orders.

Qualifications:


Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in heavy civil construction.


Essential Skills:
  • Proven ability to thrive in a high-output environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in HCSS Estimating and Project Manager Software.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Project.
  • Possession of a clean driving record.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings.
