Child and Adolescent Day Treatment Specialist

Coastal Horizons Center, Inc. is seeking a qualified professional to join our team in New Hanover County, NC. As a Child and Adolescent Day Treatment Specialist, you will provide therapeutic interventions in school and community settings to support youth and their families.
Job Summary:This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and adolescents in our community. As a Qualified Professional, you will work closely with families, schools, and other stakeholders to provide individualized support and services.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct services through school-based interventions to support family preservation, meeting educational goals, and maintaining appropriate role functioning in community settings.
- Deliver one-on-one and group interventions, including skill building activities, positive behavioral supports, and psychoeducation on mental health and substance use needs.
- Develop individualized Person-Centered Plans and facilitate Child and Family Team meetings.
- Perform ongoing assessment and evaluation of social and daily living needs of clients to ensure seamless transition to next medically necessary service.
- Completion of Bachelor's Degree in a Human Service field with 2 years of post-Bachelors experience with Mental Health population.
- Meets requirements under 10A NCAC 27G.0104 as a Qualified Professional for Mental Health.
- Minimum of two (2) years documented experience with children, adolescents, and families.
