Position Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced Fabrication Manager to oversee our fabrication operations and facilities during the execution of large-scale engineered projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring the production of high-quality custom AV solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Team Management: Inspire and guide the fabrication team to achieve efficient production of AV equipment, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Project Collaboration: Partner with project managers, engineers, and programmers to align on project specifications, ensuring a smooth transition from design to fabrication.
- Production Planning: Develop and implement effective production schedules and material requirements to meet project deadlines and budget constraints.
- Quality Control: Establish and uphold high standards of workmanship and quality assurance to ensure all fabricated products meet industry specifications.
- Process Optimization: Continuously assess and enhance fabrication processes for improved efficiency and quality, incorporating lean manufacturing principles as appropriate.
- Testing and Verification: Oversee the testing and validation of completed AV equipment to ensure functionality and compliance with project requirements.
- Inventory Oversight: Manage the inventory of essential components and materials necessary for fabrication operations.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all fabrication equipment is maintained in optimal condition and adheres to safety standards.
- Team Development: Identify training needs and opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess proven experience in a fabrication management role, preferably within the AV integration or a related industry. Key qualifications include:
- Strong knowledge of AV systems, components, and fabrication techniques.
- Preferred certifications: CTS, CTS-I.
- Ability to interpret project documentation, including schedules and specifications.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in production planning and project management.
- Commitment to quality and excellence in systems integration.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects under pressure.
- Familiarity with safety standards and lean manufacturing principles.
