About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in the Owensboro area on a PRN basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients' functional status and physical therapy needs, collaborating with physicians to develop therapy plans of care.
  • Provide services within the scope of practice, adhering to state laws and standards, and coordinating with the healthcare team.
  • Monitor patients' responses to treatment and report any changes to the supervising nurse and/or physician.
  • Treat patients to alleviate pain, restore function, and maintain maximum functioning, adhering to acceptable standards of practice.
  • Inform and instruct healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers about the plan of care, functional limitations, and progress toward goals.
  • Visit patients according to the Plan of Treatment, complete progress notes, and submit them per LHC policy.
  • Complete patient evaluations and develop the PT plan of care within state-specific guidelines.
  • Report outcomes of evaluation, goals, and anticipated projected frequency of care.
Requirements
  • Current Physical Therapy licensure in the state of Kentucky.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • A valid driver's license and vehicle insurance, with access to a dependable vehicle.
