Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language disorders in students.
- IEP Development: Develop and implement individualized education plans to address students' communication needs.
- Therapy Services: Provide direct therapy services to students, both one-on-one and in small groups.
- Progress Monitoring: Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers and school staff to integrate speech and language goals into classroom activities.
- Parent Education: Educate and support parents and guardians on strategies to support their child's communication development.
- Team Collaboration: Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans.
- Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Massachusetts licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certification: Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience working in a school setting or with children is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
