Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality primary care services to the female population at our correctional facility in Marysville, OH.

The ideal candidate must be licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Ohio and have at least one year of experience working in primary care settings. This full-time, on-site position offers weekdays-only hours (no evenings, weekends, or holidays), with flexibility in scheduling to meet the needs of the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive health care services, including assessments, diagnostics, treatments, and patient education, to a diverse female patient population within a correctional environment.
  • Manage and monitor chronic health conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, and other long-term illnesses.
  • Provide women's health services, including routine screenings, reproductive health care, and menopause management.
  • Work collaboratively with medical, nursing, and administrative staff to ensure patient care is comprehensive and coordinated.
  • Document patient histories, assessments, and treatment plans accurately and promptly in the facility's medical records system.
  • Educate patients about self-care and disease prevention to enhance health outcomes.
  • Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and protocols related to patient care and safety.

Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 year of NP work experience in primary care (required).
  • Active NP license in the state of Ohio (required).
  • Experience working with diverse populations and/or in a correctional setting is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to work independently and make clinical decisions in a correctional environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to security protocols.
