CDK Global Inc. is a leading provider of cloud-based software solutions to the automotive and related industries. As a Senior Cloud Architect, you will play a key role in driving technical vision and strategy for our cloud-based Dealer Management System and Payments platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with technologists and enterprise architects to align with CDK's architecture strategy.
  • Develop and share a north star technical vision for the domain you are accountable for.
  • Influence long-term technical vision and strategy for CDK products.
  • Advocate for designing software that is scalable, resilient, maintainable, and stable.
  • Influence software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, and testing.
  • Lead collaboration with key stakeholders and contribute subject matter expertise to develop unique solutions to complex issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with broad industry trends and develop methods for implementing them in our environment.
Requirements
  • 12+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3 years as a Software Architect.
  • Extensive experience in software development, including hands-on experience with various programming languages, frameworks, database technologies.
  • Proven experience in designing and building cloud-native distributed applications on cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
  • Extensive experience with relational and non-relational databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, or similar NoSQL solutions).
  • Strong knowledge of software architecture principles, patterns, and best practices.
  • Ability to organize and articulate complex solutions clearly to technology and business executives.
