In this role as Maintenance Operations Coordinator, you will oversee a team of skilled technicians to maintain our facilities and equipment in optimal condition. You will manage both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks, ensuring efficient use of time and resources. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance and problem-solving skills to meet our customers' expectations.

This position requires flexibility, as you may need to fill in as a Shift Maintenance Supervisor when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will work closely with the shift team to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed repairs, rebuilds, and line inspections.
  • Manage contractor work as required and assigned.
  • Communicate performance standards and expectations to the team.
  • Coordinate and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management system (CMMS).
  • Analyze machine downtime and recommend improvements.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) and work order audits.
  • Coordinate daily work orders and projects across shifts.
  • Maintain plant facilities and grounds according to relevant regulations, company and regulatory standards, and fiscal considerations.
  • Stay updated on the latest manufacturing technologies and systems and engineering concepts to improve plant performance.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Ensure the quality, legality, and safety of each product and process used in their manufacture.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is required.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to interpret graphs and diagrams preferred.
  • Experience working in a maintenance department, preferably in an automated food processing plant.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions to complete machine rebuilds and repairs.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance software is preferred; knowledge of Microsoft Office software is required.
  • Depending on location, may require various licenses by local, county, state, or federal agencies.

The estimated salary for this role is $55,000-$65,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
