History Professor

Job Opportunity: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team at Somerset County Educational Services Commission. As a Teacher of History, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our students and inspiring a love for learning.

About the Position:

• Full-time Opportunity: This is a full-time position available for the 10-month academic year.
• Special Education Setting: You will be working in special education, alternative, and therapeutic settings for grades K-12+.
• Certification Requirements: A New Jersey teaching certification is required for this position.
• Preferred Qualifications: A Teacher of Students with Disabilities/Teacher of Handicapped certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Teach History to Students: You will be responsible for teaching history to students in grades K-12+ in a special education, alternative, and therapeutic setting.
• Develop Lesson Plans: You will develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the needs of your students.
• Assess Student Progress: You will assess student progress and adjust your teaching methods accordingly.
