Job Summary

Corewell Health is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team on a part-time evening shift. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic exams in all areas of general radiology, ensuring accurate and efficient results. This is a great opportunity to work with a collaborative team and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform quality diagnostic exams after verification of patient identification and physician order.
  • Acquire an accurate patient history and document in the medical record.
  • Monitor patients during procedures to ensure patient safety.
  • Perform radiographic and related patient care procedures using age-appropriate methods for patient's physical ability and/or limitations.
  • Ensure STAT requests are relayed to radiologist in a timely manner.
  • Effectively communicate on an inter/intra-department level with customer service, administrative, medical staff, and peers.
  • Demonstrate ability to proficiently operate diagnostic imaging equipment and follow policy for any malfunctions or quality control failures.
  • Utilize ALARA standards for minimizing radiation exposure to patient, staff, and self.
  • Provides procedural information/education to the patient/family prior to each exam.
Requirements
  • Graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Accredited Radiography program.
  • Training gained at student level.
  • CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist 180 Days required.
  • CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Upon Hire required.
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required.
