Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

ICU nurses must act swiftly, efficiently, independently, and with precision. To provide comprehensive care for critically ill patients, critical care nurses leverage their specialized expertise and in-depth understanding of disease processes to implement life-sustaining interventions.

About Our Unit:

ICU RNs at RMC are recognized as the elite in nursing, characterized by exceptional determination, intelligence, and heart.

  • Care for advanced cases including ECMO, TAVR, Impella, CABGs, and Complex Trauma patients.
  • Collaborative teamwork with opportunities for training and development from leading nurses, educators, mentors, and physicians.

Required Qualifications:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 60 months of employment.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Registered Nurse license.
  • Registered Nurse Diploma.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment.
