Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

US Foods is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our fleet of vehicles, including tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and repair diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on company vehicles to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Document all repair orders and maintain accurate records of parts used and maintenance performed.
  • Handle road service calls and perform road rescue/transport equipment as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy duty commercial diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic.
  • Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs.
  • Ability to read and understand technical and service manuals.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
  • CDL A and DOT certification preferred.
What We Offer:
  • $30-$35/hour pay rate.
  • $8,000 sign-on bonus.
  • $600 yearly tool allowance.
  • Work boots provided at least yearly.
