Athletic Trainer

This role requires a skilled athletic trainer to work in a physician extender capacity, providing clinical evaluation and educational services. The successful candidate will be responsible for preventing, assessing, treating, and reconditioning athletic injuries, adhering to NATA Board of Certification standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Casting and patient care: Providing splints, braces, crutches, and other DME, as well as patient education.
- Disability cases: Answering patient clinical phone calls and completing disability paperwork.
- Patient education: Educating patients on home exercise programs and therapeutic exercise, communicating effectively with patients and staff.
- Patient information: Rooming patients, obtaining necessary information, and updating patient history and charts.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline.
Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) certification.
Licensed as an Athletic Trainer by the North Carolina Board of Athletic Trainer Examiners or license eligible.
BLS for healthcare providers.
One year of experience as an athletic trainer preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including medical terminology.

Salary Range: $30.02 per hour (Hiring Range).
