They will be responsible for preparing and examining accounting records, financial statements, and developing and analyzing reporting for business operations and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Develop and analyze reporting for business operations and budgets, including identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies in financial data.
  • Manage payroll processes, including calculating employee wages, taxes, and benefits, payroll preparation and review.
  • Perform general ledger accounting tasks, such as journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Create new processes to improve financial efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Prepare and review sales tax reports, as well as 1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S, and 990 tax returns.
  • Communicate with clients on a friendly and professional demeanor, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, such as the IRS, to help clients with issues and concerns.
  • Monitor bookkeeping activities regularly, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client financial information at all times.

Requirements:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.
  • Experience in financial statement preparation and analysis, with a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in current computer accounting programs and reporting tools, such as QuickBooks, UltraTax, and Accounting CS.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
