Rothman Orthopaedics is seeking a highly skilled Patient Account Representative to join our team. As a Patient Account Representative, you will be responsible for receiving and resolving patient billing-related inquiries, including self-pay, high-deductible, past due accounts, and refunds.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to patient billing inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Research and resolve patient billing issues, including self-pay collections, high-deductible accounts, and past due accounts.
- Communicate with patients to establish payment plans and manage aging accounts receivable.
- Process credit card payments and send patient receipts.
- Manage refund requests and communicate with requesting agencies.
- Collaborate with insurance companies and clinical areas to ensure accurate patient financial responsibility.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience and knowledge of ICD9-10 and CPT coding.
- Proficient in MS Office and EMR systems.
