Mechanical Foreman

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Foreman to lead our shop operations and heavy repair teams. As a key member of our Mechanical Loco department, you will be responsible for planning daily work schedules, managing employees, and ensuring the quality of locomotive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage daily work schedules for shop and service track operations
• Supervise and lead work force groups, including multiple projects simultaneously
• Instruct mechanics in all phases of locomotive repairs and inspect quality of work performed
• Provide safety briefings and support to mechanics on safety guidelines

Requirements:

• High school diploma or general equivalency diploma required
• Familiarity with FRA Rules and Regulations and ability to prepare and accurately fill out all forms required for the operation of Diesel Locomotives
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Strong understanding of LMS, MCS, ISM, Excel, Word, and Microsoft Office programs

Medical Requirements: This position is a safety-sensitive position, and all new hires will be required to complete a pre-employment medical that includes a physical, vision, hearing, alcohol and drug audit assessments. Qualification drug test(s) are also required.
