Job Summary

LL Pelling Company, Inc. is seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver Class B to join our team. As a key member of our paving crew, you will be responsible for hauling asphalt and rock using a dump truck.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily pre/post trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Operate a dump truck or flowboy into construction job sites, rock quarries, and asphalt plants.
  • Load and unload materials, including asphalt, rock, and millings.
  • Tarp loads using a hand crank to secure the cargo.
  • Scrape and clean the end of the box from asphalt to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Keep the truck in a clean and orderly condition to ensure efficiency and safety.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Class B commercial driver's license with an insurable driving record.
  • Airbrake endorsement.
  • Current medical card.
  • Regular, dependable attendance.
  • Able to work in all outside weather conditions.
  • Able to work overtime, including 50+ hours per week.
  • Able to work overnight shifts and weekends as necessary.
  • Able to frequently climb in and out of the truck to tarp loads and manually clean the box of asphalt.
  • Able to use hands to safely operate a dump truck, hand crank, and hand tools.
  • Able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
