Job Summary:

Sturdy Memorial Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of patients, staff, physicians, volunteers, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patrol hospital buildings and grounds to prevent and respond to security incidents
  • Assist patients and staff in emergency situations
  • Monitor CCTV systems and access control points
  • Write detailed security reports and daily logs
  • Collaborate with hospital staff to resolve security-related issues

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of security experience or advanced schooling
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and handle interruptions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous hospital security experience
  • Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) and/or AVADE training
  • CPR certification
  • Experience with access control and CCTV systems

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or equivalent preferred

Licenses and Certifications:

  • CPR certification required within 90 days of employment
  • MOAB or AVADE certification required within 30 days of employment
  • Active driver's license required
