We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Principal Architect to lead our architectural group, drive business development opportunities, and expand our focus on mixed-use development and residential architecture.
This is a working principal role, meaning you will actively work on projects as well as lead them. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our architectural practice and contributing to the overall growth and success of K5 Company.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Lead and mentor a team of architects, designers, and project managers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in mixed-use and residential architecture, develop and maintain client relationships, and prepare compelling presentations and proposals.
- Project Oversight and Execution: Actively participate in and lead architectural projects, ensuring high-quality design and execution, and manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
- Strategic Growth: Develop and implement strategies to expand K5 Company's market presence in mixed-use and residential architecture, stay abreast of industry trends, and represent K5 Company at industry events.
- Financial Management: Take responsibility for the Profit & Loss (P&L) of the architectural group, develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, and monitor financial performance.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture from an accredited institution.
- Licensed Architect in either Florida or Michigan with a minimum of 10 years of experience in architectural design and project management.
- Proven track record in leading architectural projects, particularly in mixed-use and residential developments.
- Strong business development skills, excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in architectural design software.
