Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service
    • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a polite and professional manner.
    • Ensure that customers are satisfied with their purchases and provide recommendations on products.
  • Store Maintenance
    • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the deli area, by following cleaning schedules and department guidelines.
    • Ensure that all equipment and utensils are clean and sanitized.
  • Product Management
    • Ensure that deli products are always fresh and appealing by rotating stock, checking expiration dates, and handling spoiled or damaged products according to company procedures.
    • Operate slicing equipment to provide meats and cheeses based on customer preferences.
  • Cash Handling
    • May operate and be responsible for cash register operations, following policies and procedures to ensure proper money handling.
  • Teamwork
    • Assist in inventory control through time and temperature practices, minimizing losses by returning products to refrigeration and following company recipes.
    • May assist with receiving, unloading, checking-in, breaking-down, and storing deliveries.
  • Qualifications
    • Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
    • No prior experience required.
