Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at Aerotek. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for machining and fabricating equipment using machine tools, including turning, facing, boring, drilling, reaming, and chasing threads.

You will work on a variety of production equipment, including conveyors, racks, tables, ovens, dough mixers, dough rollers, automatic meat, sauce or cheese machines, cutters, chippers, grinders, and shredders. You will also machine parts for equipment such as forklift trucks, compressors, boilers, and pumps.

As a Machinist at Aerotek, you will receive work assignments from drawings, specifications, sketches, samples, and verbal instructions. You will join metal using techniques such as heli-arching and calculate and cut compound angles using swivel vice and universal heads on milling machines and similar tools.

Responsibilities
  • Machining and fabricating equipment using machine tools
  • Working on a variety of production equipment
  • Receiving work assignments from drawings, specifications, sketches, samples, and verbal instructions
  • Joining metal using techniques such as heli-arching
  • Calculating and cutting compound angles using swivel vice and universal heads on milling machines and similar tools
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience using a manual mill, grinder, and drill press
  • Experience reading blueprints
Work Environment

This is a fully on-site position in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. You will work in an air-conditioned, industrial environment with a 2nd shift schedule from 3pm-11:30pm Monday-Friday. You will have 2-20 minute breaks and may be required to work overtime on Saturdays.

You will be required to wear steel-toed shoes, pants, bump hats, beard nets, and gloves as part of your personal protective equipment (PPE).
