Job Overview

Safety Consideration:

This role is classified as safety-sensitive.

Objective:

The primary responsibility is to facilitate the movement of raw materials within the organization while ensuring the loading and unloading of trailers as required, all while upholding a safe and efficient operational environment.

Key Responsibilities:


• Load and unload trailers as necessary.


• Transport raw materials, work-in-progress items, and finished products to various departments within the facility as needed.


• Deliver loads from external vendors to all company locations.


• Verify that all trailers are inspected and that appropriate stands are positioned under 26-foot trailers.


• Work overtime as required.


• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.


• Carry out additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications Required:


• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.


• Candidates must be at least 21 years of age.


• A minimum of one year of experience operating tractor-trailers is essential.


• A valid Class A Commercial Driver's License is required.


• A clean driving record is mandatory.


• DOT certification is necessary.


• Strong communication skills, basic math skills, and analytical abilities are required.


• Teamwork skills, adaptability, and the ability to meet performance standards are essential.


• Candidates must pass a forklift driving assessment to qualify as an authorized forklift operator.


• Proficiency in operating a pallet jack is required.

Physical Demands:
Must be capable of occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds overhead, routinely pushing or pulling up to 200 pounds with assistance, and frequently bending, stooping, or climbing. Proper protective equipment, including eye and hearing protection, must be worn to safely perform job duties. Candidates should be able to adapt physically to standard plant environmental conditions, including moderate heat and cold, and quickly adjust to tasks requiring various motor skills.
