Job Summary

As a skilled Machinist III, you will be responsible for performing setups and running production jobs on multiple CNC machines. Your expertise in machining will optimize the production of parts, ensuring high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret Engineering drawings to ensure accurate production.
  • Make precise measurements using precision micrometers and other instruments.
  • Apply thorough knowledge of GD&T to ensure part quality.
  • Edit G & M codes, teach tools, and load programs to optimize production.
  • Perform set-ups on CNC machines, lathe, and/or mills with ease.
  • Develop thorough knowledge of tooling, materials, and cutting parameters to improve production efficiency.
  • Promote Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement projects to drive company growth.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, training CNC Operators as needed.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7+ years of experience as a CNC machinist, primarily with FANUC or MAZAK controls.
  • Strong math skills, verbal and written communication skills, and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to stand, bend, sit, walk, and lift up to 40 pounds for 8-12 hours per day.
  • Able to execute tasks/projects to a defined schedule and budget.

Physical Requirements:

  • Physical Dexterity required; ability to ascend/descend ladders; ability to lift, push, pull, and move objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to wear and utilize Personal Protective Safety Equipment (PPE), including steel-toed shoes, safety glasses/goggles, and other required equipment.
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and/or overtime if required.

Work Environment:

  • Work conditions will vary and may include working up to 12 hours per day or more in environments with exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
