Job Summary

Atlas Healthcare Partners, LLC is seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our team. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Surgical Preparation: Prepare for surgical procedures by pulling the necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring they are in good working order, and reviewing case carts for correct instruments and supplies.
  • Instrument Management: Anticipate the surgeon's needs, pass instruments, retract tissue, and operate equipment during surgery, while maintaining aseptic technique and universal precautions.
  • Post-Surgical Procedures: Dispose of sharps and trash, place used supplies into case carts for processing, and participate in counting of sharps, instruments, and sponges.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with OR turnover between cases, participate in stocking and replenishing supplies, and clean operating rooms.
  • Business Support: Provide business support to the department, including assigned administrative tasks.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Certifications: BLS required. Where applicable, must be registered with State Regulatory Agency.
  • Skills: Manual dexterity, ability to maintain professional decorum in highly stressful emergent situations, conscientious, organized, and orderly, and ability to respond quickly to the needs of the surgeon and patient.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Graduation from a certified school of surgical technology or 2 years of operating room experience.
