About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented dental assistant to join our team at Great Lakes Dental Partners. As a dental assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist dentists during procedures by preparing treatment rooms, instruments, and materials.
  • Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.
  • Take and process dental X-rays, ensuring patient safety and accurate diagnostic outcomes.
  • Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures, anticipating the dentist's needs and ensuring patient comfort.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and preventive measures.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment details, in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Ensure a clean and organized treatment environment, restocking supplies and equipment as necessary.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a dental assistant required.
  • X-Ray Certification preferred.
  • Experience with dental implants preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
  • Familiarity with Dentrix, or other dental software systems preferred.
