Transportation Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Transportation Specialist to join our team at Education Service Center 2 Consortium.

Key Responsibilities:

* Operate school buses and related equipment to provide safe and orderly transportation of students and other authorized persons on assigned routes and to and from other designated locations.

* Maintain a valid Texas commercial driver's license with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.

* Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

* Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and school staff.

* Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

* Must be 18 years of age.

* Ability to pass U.S. Department of Transportation alcohol and drug tests and annual physical exam.

* Ability to complete required bus driver safety training.

* Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

* Ability to use maps and Global Positioning Systems (GPS) to follow routes and locate addresses.

* Ability to manage student behavior.

* Ability to communicate effectively with others.

* Ability to operate bus.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Previous experience in student transportation or a related field.

* Familiarity with Education Service Center 2 Consortium's policies and procedures.

* Strong organizational and time management skills.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
