Job Description

Job Summary:

The District Inventory Auditor position is responsible for conducting thorough physical inventories, generating accurate department audit reports, and reconciling computer data with physical counts. This role requires collaboration with department teams to identify and resolve inventory accuracy issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit and count physical inventories at store locations, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Develop and implement a preliminary audit schedule for the district, including neighboring store rotations.
  • Assist Store Managers with invoice concerns, store organization, price adjustments, and abnormalities discovered in the system.
  • Conduct visual checklists at each store to assess store conditions, maintenance issues, safety concerns, marketing promotions, and loss prevention awareness.
  • Complete 15-20 retail inventory audits monthly, importing data into the computer system for processing, printing reports, and uploading supporting documentation.
  • Achieve established average per hour (APH) counting goals while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of collected data.
  • Work in various environments with potential exposure to cold and heat.
  • Communicate clearly and accurately, verbally and in written form, in a positive manner that yields cooperation and builds partnerships.
  • Take initiative to explore and suggest new approaches that can impact quality and/or quantity of job performance and organizational effectiveness.
  • Complete other job-related duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements:

  • Frequent bending, counting on knees, and moving product up to 25lbs.
  • Repetitive motions requiring use of both wrists and hands using counting machines.
  • Proficient in computer operations, including Microsoft Office and Open Office applications.
  • Ability to travel, including occasional overnight stays.
  • Reliable transportation to perform audits throughout the assigned market.
