Are you a skilled engineer looking for a challenging role in broadcast technology? Spectrum News is seeking a talented Broadcast Engineer to join our team. As a Broadcast Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting broadcast networks and equipment. You will also be responsible for evaluating and resolving technical issues, including monitoring system status, diagnosing problems, and recommending solutions.
- Work closely with the Spectrum News Engineering team to ensure seamless broadcast operations.
- Provide critical technical support to keep local communities informed.
- Collaborate with the IT department to maintain network infrastructure.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in maintenance or broadcast engineering.
- Associate's degree in Engineering/Technical Discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of terminations/connectors to various types of network cables.
- Ability to install and/or support cross-platform systems.
- Valid driver's license for authorized driving in the State of residence.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SBE (Society of Broadcast Engineers) - CBTE, CBNE certifications.
- FCC General Class License.
- Network - CCNA certification.
Working Conditions:
- Office environment with occasional travel for equipment failure or other issues.
- 15% travel where applicable.
