Position Overview:
Franciscan Physician Network is actively seeking a full-time Board Eligible/Board Certified physician specializing in Oncology and Hematology. This role is based at our Oncology & Hematology Specialists practice. As a prominent provider of cancer care in Indiana, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional treatment and support to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to clinical excellence and prioritize patient satisfaction. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to cultivate lasting relationships within the community and with patients. Collaboration is key in ensuring the highest quality of care.
Expectations:
- Certification in Medical Oncology is required; Hematology certification is preferred.
- Standard clinic hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- On-call responsibilities include weekday coverage with one provider on call daily.
- Weekend and holiday on-call duties are shared on a 1:4 rotation.
- New providers can expect to gradually manage an outpatient volume of up to 21 patients per day within two years.
- Average inpatient volume is approximately 3 patients daily.
- Common cancer diagnoses include breast, colon, lung, head and neck, rectal, prostate, gynecologic cancers, and various hematologic disorders.

Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Medicine is required.
- Physician License (MD/DO) is required upon hire.
