- The hourly wage for this position ranges from $13.50 for entry-level candidates to $16.54 based on experience.

- Employer-Paid Mental/Behavioral Health Services: Access to 5 in-person counseling sessions annually, unlimited 24/7 telephonic counseling, and additional work-life services at no cost.
What You Bring: Competencies:
- Ability to assist the SPED Monitor and students with necessary equipment, including wheelchairs and safety restraints as outlined in the IEP.
- Participation in ARD and IEP meetings with special education staff and school leaders.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues to the SPED Transportation Manager.
- Communicate daily with the SPED Transportation Manager or Campus Leaders regarding availability.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year driving a non-CDL passenger vehicle.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Flexible availability for work, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Expected to work a minimum of 32 hours weekly, excluding additional extracurricular assignments.
- Willingness to work extended hours as needed to fulfill business requirements.
Safe Student Transportation:
- Operate a SPED-approved vehicle safely, adhering to scheduled times.
- Transport students to and from their homes, various school locations, and field trips as assigned.
- Supervise the loading and unloading of students; ensure only authorized individuals receive students; confirm safety belts are secured in passenger vans.
- Maintain order and discipline among passengers; address disputes; document and report serious disciplinary incidents.
- Perform daily safety and operational inspections of the assigned vehicle.
- Maintain various records and reports, including mileage, routing, maintenance, and schedules.
- Notify relevant parties of any delays in scheduled routes.
- Keep credentials updated in accordance with DOT and IDEA policies.
- Maintain open communication with campus managers.
- Accept constructive feedback positively.
- Engage in self-reflection to enhance performance continuously.
- Adapt to changing circumstances while managing multiple tasks.
- Handle various responsibilities simultaneously within established timeframes.
