The RN Patient Experience Coach is a key role within Grady Health System, responsible for supporting system-wide programs, initiatives, projects, and interventions focused on ensuring that our customers' experience is consistent, seamless, and exceptional.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development and implementation of patient experience initiatives across the health system.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive employee training and coaching programs.
- Provide expert-level guidance and support to nursing staff to improve patient experience in their respective areas.
- Develop and maintain spreadsheets and other data-driven tools to track and analyze patient experience metrics.
- Communicate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders, including operations staff, providers, and patients and families.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required. Master's degree in nursing, healthcare, marketing, business or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years in healthcare, including 5 years in an acute care setting.
- Current Georgia or Compact Registered Nurse license required. APP/NP Advanced Practice Registered Professional Nurse, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Physician's Assistant, or Clinical Nurse Specialist preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership and project management ability with cross-functions teams, and success managing change. Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role highly preferred.
- Able to take and compose meeting minutes, create and maintain spreadsheets.
- Must have attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Demonstrated excellent written/oral communication including presentation skills.
- Strong technical skills including computer proficiency, demonstrated ability to understand and apply mathematical, quantitative and statistical concepts to make evidence-based decisions and drive change.
- Ability to work independently, with minimum direction, and solve complex problems.
- Able to interact professionally and effectively with a wide variety of people, including operations staff, providers, the general public and departments in Grady.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to build productive relationships with broad range of employees, managers, and customers.
- Demonstrated judgment and ability to work effectively with a diverse population of staff, patients and families.
- Experience with process improvement initiatives in a clinical setting to improve and sustain patient satisfaction. Working knowledge of and experience with continuous process improvement methodologies and tools such as PDSA/PDCA, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.
