Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at the University of Virginia Medical Center. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for assisting with interventional procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with interventional procedures, including angioplasty and stent placement
  • Operate imaging equipment, such as fluoroscopy and ultrasound machines
  • Prepare and maintain patient records, including medical history and treatment plans
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment
  • Provide patient education and support throughout the treatment process
Requirements
  • ARRT certification in Radiography or Interventional Radiography
  • BLS certification
  • State license to practice as a radiologic technologist
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Work Environment

This is a 13-week contract position with 8-hour day shifts. Call may become available later, and a 50-mile radius rule applies. Candidates are expected to carry their photo identification during service hours and provide proof of I-9 or attestation. Government-issued photo ID is required.
