We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach Accounting and Finance courses at Durham Technical Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, developing course materials, and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Teach Accounting and Finance courses, including introductory and advanced courses, to students with varying levels of experience and skill.
- Develop and implement course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments, to ensure student learning outcomes are met.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
- Provide individualized support and guidance to students, including office hours and online support.
- Stay current with industry developments and best practices in Accounting and Finance education.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum changes and improvements.
- Master's degree in Accounting or a related field, with at least 18 graduate hours in Accounting and Finance.
- At least three years of full-time work experience in the Accounting and Finance industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators.
- Ability to use technology, including learning management systems and online tools, to support teaching and learning.
- Knowledge of curriculum development and instructional design principles.
- Ph.D. in Accounting or a related field.
- Experience teaching Accounting and Finance courses at the community college level.
- Knowledge of industry certifications, such as CPA or CMA.
