Job Summary

Analyze performance and instruct student athletes in game strategies and techniques to prepare them for athletic competition. Recruit student athletes and observe players to determine need for individual or team improvement. Coach players individually or in groups, demonstrating techniques and providing softball instruction and development for student athletes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with coaching for the Softball program
  • Provide softball instruction and development for student athletes
  • Knowledge of and compliance with all rules and changes that occur in the sport of softball including NCAA rules and regulations
  • Assist with camps, game, and tournament organization and supervision
  • Assist with recruiting for the Softball program
  • Coordinate Chadron State College campus visits for athletes
  • Knowledge of, and compliance with, NCAA rules and regulations concerning recruiting and eligibility
  • Coordinate team laundry
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree plus coaching experience
  • Must have knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
  • Preferred qualifications: previous experience coaching softball
