Seeking a Dedicated Middle School Special Education Instructor
ProCare Therapy is looking for a passionate educator to support the academic journey of middle school students with diverse learning needs. This role is designed for those who are committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment that promotes growth and development.
Position Details:
- Grade Level: Middle School
- Class Composition: 11-12 Students with Autism, supported by paraprofessionals and a BCBA
- Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
- Experience Required:
- Expertise in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Commitment to professional growth and development
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement inclusive educational strategies tailored to each student’s needs.
- Employ evidence-based methods to enhance literacy, numeracy, social-emotional skills, and independence among students.
- Maintain effective communication with families, providing updates on student progress and strategies for support at home.
- Cultivate a nurturing classroom atmosphere where every student feels valued and empowered to achieve their potential.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related discipline.
- Valid State teaching license with endorsements in Special Education or eligibility for licensure.
- Prior experience in early childhood special education is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and community members.
