Director of Nursing Services

This role provides strategic leadership and support to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) responsible for all nursing and patient care functions within the hospital organization. The Director of Nursing Services will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice on a multi-unit level, ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, promoting a culture of excellence and patient-centered care.
- Collaborate with the CNO to develop and implement nursing strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Assume 24/7 responsibility for Director's assigned areas, ensuring seamless operations and patient care.
- Ensure competency of clinical staff, effective resource management, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in onboarding process, including background checks and pre-employment health screenings.
Requirements:
- Active and current registered nurse license in the state of residence/practice.
- Proven leadership ability, hospital operational expertise, and ability to serve as a role model and advocate for nursing.
- Associate degree from an accredited nursing school with a bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or a BSN.
- Preferred: MSN or master's in a healthcare-related field.
- 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager or full-time charge nurse/related position.
- Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy; CPR.
