Overview:
The Facility Maintenance Attendant is accountable for ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of shared spaces within the community, encompassing both indoor and outdoor environments.
This role also entails delivering exceptional service in alignment with the core values and mission of the Castle Group.
The individual will carry out all duties while exemplifying superior customer service skills reflective of Castle Royal Service.
This position requires collaboration across departments and interaction with external clients.Responsibilities:
Utilizes necessary equipment to uphold property cleanliness, including pressure washers and blowers.
Collects litter from all community areas.
Disposes of waste from trash cans, ashtrays, and sanitary receptacles.
Performs vacuuming, sweeping, polishing, and mopping of floors.
Arranges furniture.
Dusts surfaces and eliminates fingerprints.
Polishes windows, glass doors, brass fixtures, mirrors, and other bright work.
Inspects and replaces light bulbs as needed.
Cleans and sanitizes countertops and sinks.
Wipes down appliances, both inside and out.
Restocks towels, toilet paper, and soap dispensers.
Sanitizes all restroom facilities, including bowls, sinks, partitions, and urinals on a daily basis.
Cleans shower stalls as necessary.
Disinfects fitness equipment when applicable.
Maintains cleanliness of the clubhouse if relevant.
Ensures the pool deck is tidy and organizes storage areas.
Cleans and arranges pool deck furniture.
Prepares rooms for events and meetings as required.
Restores and resets rooms post-events.
Generates necessary work orders.
Manages supply inventory and places orders as required.
Reports any issues to the supervisor.
Assists in preparations for hurricane events.
Maintains a pristine facility.
Ensures a safe and secure environment throughout the property.
Adheres to all safety protocols while executing duties.
Performs any additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
Education/Training/Certifications/Licenses:
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Experience/Knowledge/Skills:
Preferred experience of one (1) to three (3) years in janitorial or housekeeping roles. Strong customer service skills are essential. Effective verbal communication abilities are required.
Computer literacy:
Familiarity with computer hardware and software is preferred.
Language requirements:
Fluency in multiple languages may be required or preferred, depending on the community.
Travel and availability requirements:
Occasional travel for off-site training may be necessary. Availability for extended hours and weekends may be required.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Capable of standing or walking continuously for extended periods. Must handle, grasp, and lift objects and packages. Requires reaching and moving hands, arms, and legs continuously. Must communicate and exchange ideas verbally.
Ability to navigate the property/building efficiently, typically for 8 hours but potentially up to 12 hours daily to fulfill job functions.
The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the role.
Working Conditions:
Work will be a combination of indoor and outdoor tasks, with the ratio of indoor to outdoor work varying. Exposure to weather conditions such as heat, cold, or rain may occur while working outdoors.
