Job Overview:

As a pivotal figure in the realm of cloud application security, you will spearhead the transformation of application security within cloud environments. Your role will involve collaborating with various divisions to ensure the development of secure applications and software that operate seamlessly in the cloud. You will provide guidance on secure design principles, implement the DevSecOps framework, and mentor fellow security engineers.

This position is deeply focused on security, integrating security principles into the CI/CD pipeline to guarantee the validation of cloud solutions. You will emphasize the protection of systems, applications, third-party integrations, service providers, and associated systems, while also managing business-to-business initiatives and vendor relationships. Your expertise will be crucial in assessing current security protocols to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide developers and testers through security processes during the product lifecycle, including secure design reviews, threat modeling, security code evaluations, and code hardening efforts to pinpoint vulnerabilities.
  • Drive the integration of security within continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, collaborating with software developers, system engineers, cybersecurity experts, and systems administrators.
  • Work in partnership with peers and stakeholders across the organization to manage implementations related to IT infrastructure, application development, security operations, security audits, and end-user interactions.
  • Analyze the security posture of applications and services, proactively identifying and addressing security challenges, while contributing to the development of security automation and responding swiftly to emerging threats.
  • Engage regularly in project and change management discussions.
  • Ensure timely delivery of projects within budgetary constraints and in alignment with service level agreements (SLAs).

Essential Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in cloud security applications, specifically within Azure.
  • At least 4 years of experience in leading and implementing DevSecOps practices in cloud-based applications.
  • Proficient in application and product security tools and technologies, including SAST, DAST, SCA, API security, container security, and cloud security posture management.
