Job Summary

Hill York seeks a skilled Boiler Service Journeyman to perform mechanical maintenance duties, including inspection, repair, installation, and alteration of Boiler systems and related equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair boilers for commercial, industrial, and institutional customers.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical components of these systems.
  • Work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to customers.
  • Be available to work nights or weekends, on a rotating basis, to service emergency needs of customers.
  • Maintain good working order of company vehicle, including refueling, reporting mechanical issues, and submitting monthly vehicle inspection form.
  • Understand company pricing and generate appropriate customer invoice at job site.
  • Document all installed equipment, including make, model, serial number, type of fuel, necessary test measurements, and pictures as necessary.
  • Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain replacement parts, calibrate system to manufacturer's recommendations, and explain fully to customer what the issue is and what is needed to correct.
Requirements
  • UA Apprenticeship or Tech-schools preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience.
  • Preferred Certifications: Journeyman HVAC License, Master HVAC License, EPA, CFC Certification, Journeyman: Maintenance, Factory Training.
