About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Substance Use Disorder Counselor to join our team at Aspen View Mental Health. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health treatment to our community.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for clients
  • Facilitate group and individual therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
  • Collaborate with the care team to ensure seamless coordination of care and effective communication with clients and their families
  • Document client progress and maintain accurate records
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance clinical skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field, such as counseling or psychology
  • Current certification as a Substance Use Disorder Counselor (SUDC) or a related certification
  • At least one year of experience working in a mental health setting, preferably with a focus on substance use disorders
  • Strong assessment and treatment planning skills, with the ability to work with diverse populations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
