Job Summary

Maclay Healthcare is seeking a skilled Laundry Specialist to join our team. As a Laundry Specialist, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and sort soiled linens from throughout the facility
  • Operate commercial and residential washing machines and dryers
  • Distribute clean linens among departments according to a routine schedule
  • Wash, dry, and mend residents' personal clothing as directed by supervisors
  • Observe and follow all infection control and sanitation policies and procedures
  • Assist in transporting laundry containers and cleaning linen carts
  • Keep accurate records of linen inventory
  • Maintain equipment and laundry areas in a clean and safe manner
Requirements
  • High School Education or equivalent (GED)
  • Laundry experience preferred, but on-the-job training will be provided
  • Experience in a healthcare facility preferred
  • Willingness to work beyond normal working hours, weekends, holidays, and/or on other shifts and in other positions when necessary
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language sufficiently and comprehensively enough to perform the essential functions of the job

Salary Range
