Job Summary

Sutter Health is seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for the care, maintenance, and functioning of equipment and supplies used by the Department. You will assist the Anesthesiologists in the provision of direct patient care as requested and provide assistance to the nursing staff through the provision, maintenance, and functioning of medical equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Anesthesiologists in the provision of direct patient care as requested.
  • Provide assistance to the nursing staff through the provision, maintenance, and functioning of medical equipment.
  • Care for, maintain, and function equipment and supplies used by the Department.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent education/experience.
  • Minimum two years college.
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Preferred experience as typically acquired in a similar environment.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Knowledge of principles/applications of aseptic technique.
  • Knowledge of care/maintenance of Anesthesia related equipment.
  • Knowledge of care/maintenance of surgical equipment.
  • Knowledge of English language with written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and problem solve.
  • Interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Basic Computer skills.
  • Ability to effectively demonstrate inventory control.
Work Environment

This position may regularly work, store, prepare, receive, unpack, transport, dispose of, or administer drug(s) identified as hazardous, or potentially hazardous, by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) for purposes of USP 800.

Pay Range is $51.55 to $61.86 / hour.

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location.

Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.

Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
