Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Production Technician I to join our team at Justice Cannabis Co. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective processing of cannabis products.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and maintain equipment in a biologics processing environment for cannabis.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for debucking, trimming, grinding, drying, and curing cannabis harvests in preparation for oil extraction and/or flower sales.
  • Perform precise hand trimming for flower sales.
  • Accurately enter data in the state-run seed to sale inventory system.
  • Organize work areas and perform daily tasks such as washing and sanitizing equipment and racking systems.
  • Accurately weigh and record materials.
  • Maintain a neat and organized work area, allowing for the proper segregation of materials and processes.
  • Adhere to departmental, site, and corporate safety policies.
  • Responsible for facility and equipment cleaning in a clean room manufacturing environment to maintain NJ standards.
  • Sanitize and sterilize post-harvest processing equipment, including stainless steel racks and shelves.
  • Responsible for weighing, filling, and packaging work related to products with no micro-contamination introduced into the process or material.
  • Assemble secondary packaging and final product.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Meet requirements to pass NJ cannabis affiliation.
  • Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced startup environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English (verbal/written).
  • Ability to maintain product accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ability to communicate with other staff and associates in all situations.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to take direction and complete daily tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to perceive and meet the needs of team members and management.
  • Ability to maintain high standards in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner.
  • High level of organization, patience, and flexibility.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Willing to focus on repetitive work for long periods of time.
  • Work environment includes regular standing, squatting; applicant should be able to pick up at least 30lbs.
