Key Responsibilities
  • Receiving and Storing: Receive shipments, verify contents, and store materials in secure locations.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload delivery items in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Maintaining Inventory: Maintain accurate inventory records, including adding or deleting supplies as they are received or shipped.
  • Reviewing Shipments: Review shipments for quality and accuracy, and confirm shipping details.
  • Fulfilling Orders: Fulfill orders and ensure deliveries match purchase orders.
  • Disposing of Materials: Dispose of expired materials while adhering to safety practices.
  • Cleaning: Clean machinery and keep loading and docking areas clear.
  • Answering Phones: Answer phones and provide information to customers.
  • Preparing Damage Claims: Prepare damage claims for a supervisor's review and signature.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a warehouse or distribution center.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Skills
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
