Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on cement trucks with a focus on air brakes, suspension systems, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot engine and hydraulic system issues to ensure cement trucks are in optimal operating condition.
  • Conduct routine fluid changes, inspect and maintain hydraulic pumps and lines, and perform general truck upkeep.
  • Service and maintain both frontend and rear-end discharge trucks.
  • Perform minor welding and fabrication tasks when necessary.
  • Test trucks post-repair ensuring full operational capacity and DOT compliance.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in cement or heavy-duty truck maintenance specifically with air brakes, suspension systems, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
  • Hydraulic Systems Knowledge: Essential for working with the mixing and discharge components of the truck.
  • Diagnostic Tools: Experience using diagnostic software and tools to troubleshoot and repair electrical and engine issues.
  • Welding and Fabrication: Basic welding skills for minor repairs and modifications.
  • Preferred: Experience with Ready-Mix trucks or heavy-duty equipment maintenance.
  • DOT Knowledge: Familiarity with Department of Transportation regulations to ensure truck compliance.

Additional Requirements:

  • CDL (Commercial Driver's License) is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to lift heavy parts, stand for long periods, and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with team members and supervisors.
