Homemaker Professional

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated professionals to join our team as Homemaker Professionals at FirstLight Home Care of Southern Maine.

The estimated salary for this position is $42,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes competitive pay, paid time off, flexible scheduling, and a 401(k) matching program.

As a Homemaker Professional, you will provide exceptional care and support to our clients in the comfort of their own homes. Your responsibilities will include:

• Companionship and Conversation: Engage with clients through conversation, activities, and shared experiences to combat loneliness and isolation.
• Meal Preparation: Prepare healthy and delicious meals that cater to clients' dietary needs and preferences.
• Bathing and Grooming Assistance: Provide gentle and respectful assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming to maintain clients' personal hygiene and dignity.
• Light Housekeeping and Laundry: Maintain a clean and comfortable living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks and laundry duties.
• Shopping and Errands: Assist clients with grocery shopping, errands, and other tasks to promote independence and convenience.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Previous Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred.
• Passion for Caregiving: A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and support to others is essential.
• Empathy and Patience: The ability to empathize with clients and demonstrate patience in challenging situations is crucial.
• Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
