Job Description

Job Summary:

Omega EMS is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Control Specialist to join our team. As an Incoming Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that incoming materials meet our high standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting Incoming Materials: Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials to ensure they meet our quality and compliance standards.
  • First Article Inspection (FAI): Perform FAI on incoming materials and components to ensure they meet our specifications and customer requirements.
  • Supporting PCBA Inspection: Assist with PCBA inspection as a secondary function, ensuring that printed circuit assemblies meet our quality and compliance standards.
  • Maintaining Quality Standards: Ensure that all tools, equipment, and visual aids necessary for efficient and accurate completion of tasks are in proper working order and of the latest revision.

Requirements:

  • Experience: More than 5 years working in an electronics inspection environment within the CM or similar environment.
  • Qualifications: Previous IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 experience preferred. Must possess good working knowledge of CM technology (specifically circuit board assembly).
  • Skills: Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Knowledge of industry standard workmanship requirements (IPC-A-600 / IPC-A-610). Ability to visually verify fine detail work.
  • Education: Basic competence with MSWord, Excel, and Outlook (or equivalent preferred).
