Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and handling instruments and equipment with precision.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical equipment, supplies, and instruments, ensuring they are in good working order and readily available for use.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and safe patient care, communicating effectively and responding to emergencies as needed.
  • Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, providing emotional support and addressing patient concerns.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve patient care and surgical outcomes.
Requirements
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Surgical Technologist in multiple specialties.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Graduate of a surgical technology program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
