Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at Jarco Companies. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy construction equipment, excavators, front end loaders, and other equipment as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate heavy construction equipment, excavators, front end loaders, and other equipment as necessary.
  • Perform pre and post shift inspections and document any damage to equipment.
  • Recognize hazardous conditions and report to supervisor.
  • Communicate with others using verbal and non-verbal hand signals while operating equipment.
  • Responsible for the safe and secure transportation of products.
  • Operate trucks for the delivery, pickup, and relocation of products and materials.
  • Perform other labor-related duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of State & Federal DOT Regulations for Drivers.
  • 2 years' experience in a mine setting preferred.
  • Ability to operate equipment under varying working conditions.
  • Working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions common to heavy equipment operations.
  • Mechanical background a plus.
  • Ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
  • Able to complete job tasks safely and effectively without supervision.

Working Conditions:

  • Requires prolonged sitting, driving, and MHE operations.
  • Heavy lifting required, lift up 50 lbs. +
  • Must be able to work in severe weather conditions, both heat and cold.
  • Must be able to stand / sit 8-15 hours per day.
