Key Responsibilities
- Develops and executes extensive fire prevention strategies while assessing various wildland fire prevention and mitigation initiatives.
- Advocates for the ecological significance and advantages of wildland fire, emphasizing its connection to the organization's mission when engaging with the public.
- Conducts thorough fire investigations to ascertain causes and origins by observing, gathering, and preserving evidence.
- Designs and implements preventive measures to reduce human-induced wildfire ignitions, while consistently monitoring fire incidents and their causes.
- Acts as an instructor for fire investigation training, providing education as necessary.
- Offers expert advice on the annual program budget, ensuring compliance with established program policies.
- Enforces a wildfire restriction closure plan, collaborating with various agencies to develop and disseminate information regarding wildfire restrictions and closures.
